Work Day – June 20th!

What we’ll be doing

This month we’re enjoying the nicer weather Cloudcroft again to work around the historical trestle (hopefully will someday soon be an official historical site) on the Brooks property. We’ll be removing some dirt from below the trestle and/or building up some water control structures in the gully above the bridge and trestle. Again, these efforts are in support of having the Trestle eventually recognized as a historical site.

We may form a separate group to do some trail grooming work in an area separate from the trestle activity.

ALSO, we will have shirts and caps with the NEW NM Rails-to-Trails Association logo on sale when we gather up!

Finally, if you haven’t had a chance to check out our 98th Newsletter, now’s your chance! Just click on this link to view or download!  NMRTA Newsletter Issue #98

We’ll be walking down to the worksite from the parking area, detailed below.

When/Where: Saturday, June 20th, 2015. We’ll meet at 9am and we’ll work until noon.

Driving Directions

Head on up to Cloudcroft as you normally would. We’ll be parking and meeting at the Village Spur Trailhead parking area where Highway 130 intersects with Highway 82. It’s easy to spot there on your right just as you enter Cloudcroft if coming in from High Rolls or Alamogordo.

Thanks!
