Work Day – August – 8/17/2024

We will be having a workday Saturday, August 17, from 9AM-Noon.

What We Will Be Doing:  We will be working in the Village Spur area. There is an erosion area going uphill towards to the Village Spur Trail and historic signs that we will shore up with railroad ties and rock. In addition, we will relocate a bench to the Village Spur area and spruce up the area in and around the signs.  

What to Bring: Water, gloves, and sunscreen. We will provide the tools.

Where to Meet: Meet at the Village Spur trailhead, at US Hwy 82 and Hwy 130 (see map below)

Directions to the Village Spur Trailhead from Alamogordo:

  • Take US Hwy 82 from Alamogordo toward Cloudcroft.
  • Near mile marker 16, turn right into the parking lot just before Hwy 130
