Work Day – August 8/11/18

What:  We will be clearing and cleaning up brush near the old trestle remains and the Harkey-Pedestrian Bridge on the Switchback Trail. Light to Moderate work, something for everyone. Bring water, sun screen, gloves, rain protection and sturdy shoes.

If we have enough volunteers, we will send  a crew to Bonnie’s Trestle to start rebuilding the sluice, tar paint the bridge and repair erosion damage in the gully.

When: Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 9:00 AM to Noon.

Where:  Switchback Trail (T-5004) Trailhead in Bailey Canyon, where the canyon intersects Hwy 82, about 2 miles downhill from Cloudcroft’s West edge.

Work Day – July 7/28/18

Please come out and join us for our work day next Saturday!

WHAT WE WILL BE DOING: We will be cleaning up the trail at and around the Devil’s Elbow.  Work will include moving rocks, clearing away vegetation, and whatever else we can do to improve the trail.   Light to heavy work, something for everyone.  Bring water, sun protection, gloves and sturdy shoes.

WHEN: Saturday July 28, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

WHERE: The Trestle Recreation Area. Meet at the Depot.
