Work Day – February – 2/15/2025

We will be having a workday Saturday, February 15, from 9AM-Noon.

What We Will Be Doing: We will continue water sealing the Salado Canyon Bridge, install some directional signs, and do clean-up underneath the bridge.

Where to Meet: Meet at 9AM at the Salado Canyon Trailhead, at 457 Fresnal Canyon Rd.

What to Bring: Water, gloves, snacks, and sunscreen. We will provide the tools!

  • Take US Hwy 82 from Alamogordo toward Cloudcroft
  • Turn left on Cherry Blossom Way, just past the General Store
  • Drive 0.3 miles and turn left on Cottage Row
  • Drive 2.7 miles, to the Salado Canyon Trailhead, on the right

What We Will Be Doing: We will be sealing the Salado Canyon Bridge and doing some trail work around it.

Work Day – October – 10/19/2024

We will be having a workday Saturday, October 19, from 9AM-Noon.

Sign Up Today! The Registration Form only asks for your Name and Email Address.
Going forward, it will really help if you Sign Up to Volunteer online for our Work Days.
For example, a future Work Day on the Salado Canyon Bridge will require 6-8 volunteers. We’ll need to know if we have enough before staging materials the day before.

What We Will Be Doing: We will do some trail work at the junction of the Devil’s Elbow and Old Cloudcroft Highway Trails.

Where to Meet: Meet at 9AM at the Village Spur Trailhead at US Hwy 82 at Hwy 130 (see map below)

What to Bring: Water, gloves and sunscreen.
