We are having a work day Saturday, July 17, from 9 am to noon!

What We Will Be Doing: We will begin working on the extension of the Switchback Trail toward Calico Peak, which will ultimately connect the upper and lower railroad systems.

What to Bring: Water, gloves and sunscreen. We will provide the tools.

Where to Meet: Volunteers should meet at the Switchback Trailhead in Bailey Canyon.

Directions to the Switchback Trailhead from Alamogordo:

• Take US Hwy 82 from Alamogordo toward Cloudcroft.
• Turn left onto Bailey Canyon Rd just past mile marker 14.
• Cross the cattle guard and park.
